Bio: Kyle Kingen is a twenty-two year old queer artist/historian living in Indianapolis, IN. He recently graduated at the Herron School of Art and Design at IUPUI with a BA in Art History and a Certificate in Museum Studies. Though he plans to have a career in art museums, he is still interested in producing artwork with photography as his primary medium.
Artist Statement: My work so far has focused on the ideas of identity and space. As a queer individual, I want to create work that captures the intimate moments of queer experiences. I am particularly influenced by the works of Egon Schiele, Robert Mapplethorpe, and Urs Lüthi.
